# Qvist 2026 concept — model provenance and adaptation notice Model: **F1 2026 concept (polygon model)** by **Qvist_designs**. Original: https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/f1-2026-concept-polygon-model-ea3bde709b1e4dc9b0ec8557d106ed42 Creator: https://sketchfab.com/Qvist_Designs License: **Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)**. License URL: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Full legal text is included in CC-BY-4.0.txt. The source model was published April 15, 2025. Its creator describes it as a simple 2026 F1 concept made in CAD from FIA regulations. It is an educational concept, not a replica of any team's raced 2026 car, and not verified compliant with the final 2026 regulations. No original sponsor livery or internal power unit is included. ## Source chain 1. Qvist_designs authored the original model above. The GLB embeds their author, title, Sketchfab source URL, and CC-BY-4.0 license. 2. A public derivative supplied by the **filan214/F1---2026-Car-Details** repository was downloaded from: https://github.com/filan214/F1---2026-Car-Details/blob/main/dist/models/qvist-2026-assemblies.glb Its attribution is at: https://github.com/filan214/F1---2026-Car-Details/blob/main/dist/models/ATTRIBUTION.md The repository's documented adaptations regroup export chunks into 16 named display assemblies, add illustrative separation seams in fused bodywork, bake orientation, assign red/graphite study materials, and remove redundant uniform vertex colors. Its seams are illustrative rather than verified manufacturing joints. No application code from that repository is included in this asset preparation. 3. For this engineering lab, the assembly derivative was optimized with border-preserving meshoptimizer simplification. Positions were retained for remaining vertices; no intentional shape deformation was added. The target relative error is 0.03% of each mesh's scale; reported error is below 0.80 mm for every assembly. Interpolated seam normals were normalized and 127 negligible degenerate faces removed. The resulting model has 263,147 triangles and is 5,665,812 bytes. Named assemblies and material labels were preserved. No endorsement by Qvist_designs, the derivative repository contributors, any team, Formula One, or the FIA is implied. Credit the model and retained modifications when redistributing; also disclose any further livery, alignment, or engineering-overlay changes. ## Integrity Original downloaded GLB SHA-256: 004c7a1c8d7be153f85c5565a38aeec57db8feaa220aabcc6b7b0bbea6b49d02 Downloaded assembly derivative SHA-256: bff9c92fe22e1c80c855e24e95b09eca62f579640fe63be200aff83769d059d3 Optimized delivery GLB SHA-256: fa675c6e799901462b7685858a04144ba66797a46967b4d56688f34f01f9168b ## Coordinates Assembly GLB uses millimetres: x front-to-rear, y up, z transverse. Front wheel axle approximately x=-55 mm; rear axle x=3345 mm; wheelbase 3400 mm. To align with this lab's x=-1.72/1.68 metre axles, use uniform scale 0.001 and translation x=-1.665 metres. Lowest tyre surface y=-30.77045 mm; raising by 0.03077045 metres puts the tyres on y=0. Full concept length is approximately 5393.912 mm, width1881.712 mm, height1099.209 mm; do not claim dimensions of an actual team car. Additional APEX runtime adaptations: converted millimeters to meters; aligned the 3.4m wheelbase; resized and positioned authored wheels to match the connected teaching suspension; split tire/rim finishes; applied red, graphite and metallic materials with fictional APEX markings; added illustrative wing-flap display pivots and removable panel offsets. Internal suspension and power-unit teaching assemblies are independently authored and are not part of Qvist's model. The authored concept floor is retained and separated into illustrative inspection regions; flow traces are independently authored. No team packaging or mechanical accuracy is implied.
