MODEL NOTES & REFERENCES

A detailed concept. A working teaching model.

The exterior is “F1 2026 concept (polygon model)” by Qvist_designs, published in April 2025 and based on the then-published 2026 rules. It is an independent concept, not a replica of a car that raced in 2026 or official team CAD.

The source surface was separated into display assemblies by a community adaptation, then optimized for this site. APEX adds study paint, fictional markings, removable assemblies and illustrative wing movement. Display seams and wing pivots are not verified manufacturing joints. Full attribution and changes · CC BY 4.0.

The internal suspension and power unit are separate teaching assemblies, positioned within the same car envelope. The original concept floor is retained, with illustrative region boundaries and airflow traces. They explain connections rather than reproduce undisclosed team packaging. Suspension motion preserves link lengths; the parallel-arm geometry does not represent a team's alignment curves. Engine motion illustrates a piston and connecting rod, not firing order.

Flow traces identify routes, not simulated pressure or velocity. Force arrows, heat cues and flow paths are qualitative teaching illustrations, not calculated results. The validation chapter describes a workflow, not tests performed on this model.
